Iodine intercalation in the oxide-ion conductor BaBi8O13

Abstract

The intercalation compound I3BaBi8O13 forms on reaction of iodine with the layered oxide-ion conductor BaBi8O13; the location of iodine within the structure and the ac conductivity of the iodine intercalated phase are described.
