Abstract

The reaction between the iminosilane R2Si[double bond, length as m-dash]NR′ [R = CMe3, R′= Si(CMe3)2Ph] 1 and AlMe3 in n-hexane at -78 °C affords the first monomeric aminodimethylalane Me2Al[double bond, length as m-dash]N(R′)R″ [R″= Si(CMe3)2Me] 2; the crystal structure of 2 is presented.
