Synthesis of a new volatile technetium(VII) oxofluoride, TcOF5

Abstract

Krypton difluoride reacts with TcO2F3 in HF at room temperature to yield the last member of the TcVII oxofluoride series, TcOF5, which is characterized in solution by 19F and 99Tc NMR spectroscopy and in HF solution and in the solid state by Raman spectroscopy.
