Diastereocontrol in the reaction of amide-homoenolates with aromatic aldehydes

Abstract

The reaction of chiral TiIV amide-homoenolates with aromatic aldehydes gave syn-adducts predominantly, whereas the corresponding ZnZnII reagents in the presence of chlorotrimethylsilane gave the anti-adducts preferentially.
