Determination of chromium in biological tissues by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry

Abstract

The determination of chromium in biological samples by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) has been studied. Different modes of sample preparation and methods of determination have been explored to minimize the interference effect from polyatomic species originating from residual carbon in the sample solution. The most successful is the use of an air–argon mixed nebulizer gas plasma in conjunction with isotope dilution analysis.
