Enormous acceleration by cerium(IV) for the hydrolysis of nucleoside 3′,5′-cyclic monophosphates at pH 7

Abstract

At pH 7 and 30 °C, 3′,5′-cyclic monophosphates of adenosine and guanosine are promptly hydrolysed by Ce(NH4)2(NO3)6(10–2 mol dm–3), with half-lives of 7 and 16 s, respectively.
