Pulse coulometric titration in continuous flow

Abstract

A method is proposed for conducting a coulometric titration in a continuous flow of solution containing the analyte and the reagents for titrant generation where the titrant is generated in rectangular impulses of definite duration and different current magnitude. Coulometric titration was applied to redox titration reaction with FeII obtained electrochemically from FeIII solution and solutions of K2Cr2O7, KMnO4, Ce(SO4)2 and NH4VO3 were measured in the concentration range 1 × 10–4–1 × 10–2 equiv. 1–1, with relative standard deviations from 6.4 to 1.6%.
