Characterization of latices used for can coatings by dynamic light scattering

Abstract

The use of high molecular weight epoxy polymers grafted with acrylic acid to form an effective film barrier for use in beverage cans is reported. The effect of the degree of neutralization of the acid functionality upon particle size has been studied.
