Selenoether macrocyclic chemistry: trans-[RhCl2([16]aneSe4)]BF4, synthesis, single crystal X-ray structure and 77Se NMR study ([16]aneSe4= 1,5,9,13-tetraselenacyclohexadecane)

Abstract

trans-[RhCl2([16]aneSe4)]+, the first fully characterised example of a platinum metal selenoether macrocyclic complex, has been prepared in high yield; a single crystal X-ray structure determination on this complex is described together with its 77Se NMR and electronic spectroscopic data.
