Deoxygenation of carbon monoxide by triscyclopentadienyluranium alkyl complexes giving alkylbenzene molecules
Abstract
Carbon monoxide reacts with the alkyl complexes [U(η5-C5H5)3R] in tetrahydrofuran to give, via the intermediacy of the acyl compounds [U(η5-C5H5)3(η2-COR)], the alkylbenzene molecules C6H5R (R = Me, Bun, Pri, But).
