Electrochemical synthesis of one-dimensional donor–acceptor polymers containing oligothiophenes and phosphorus porphyrins

Abstract

Novel porphyrin polymers linked in the axial direction, which have an alternating one-dimensional structure of oligothiophene (electron donor) and PV porphyrin (electron acceptor), have been synthesized by the electrochemical polymerization of symmetrical PV porphyrin triads with two oligothiophene moieties.
