Spectroscopic properties of lanthanides sorbed on polymeric matrices

Abstract

The luminescence properties of lanthanides sorbed on polymeric matrices with grafted functional groups were studied. The effects of the acidity of the medium, the concentration of the reagents, the type of solvent and of surfactants on the luminescence characteristics of sorbed Sm and Eu were studied. The luminescence properties of Sm and Eu on the sorbents were used to develop a method for the determination of these elements in lanthanide oxides (luminescence quenchers).
