Partial synthesis of 20-norgibberellin A12 and structural elucidation of a metabolite detected in oilseed rape, Brassica napus

Abstract

20-Norgibberellin A12 was synthesised from gibberellin A13 trimethyl ester in 6% overall yield. The structure of a metabolite previously detected by GC–mass spectrometry in a methylated extract from shoots of oilseed rape was elucidated.
