Zirconium chlorides with multidentate dialkylphosphido ligands

Abstract

The multidentate phosphido ligand [–P(CH2CH2PMe2)2] enables the isolation of new classes of zirconium phosphides; preliminary studies, including details of new complexes prepared and the crystal structure of a unique ZrIII binuclear complex with three phosphido ligands, each exhibiting different coordination behaviour, are reported.
