1,1-Dimetallagermacyclopent-3-enes: precursors to transition metal substituted germylenes (germanediyls)

Abstract

Transition metal substituted germylenes have been generated by pyrolysis of 1,1-dimetallagermacyclopent-3-enes and by the metathesis reaction between Gel2 and [Mo(CO)3Cp](Cp = C5H5).
