Alkyl-ligand α-CH interaction with a rhenium–oxygen multiple bond in ReO2R3, R = CH2CMe3 or CH2SiMe3

Abstract

An X-ray crystallographic analysis of ReO2(CH2CMe3)3 and variable temperature 1H n.m.r. studies involving ReO2R3, R = CH2CMe3 or CH2SiMe3, suggest that α-C–H ⋯ O[double bond, length as m-dash]Re interactions occur in the complexes.
