Comparative study of the electrochemical behaviour of sepiolite and hectorite modified carbon paste electrodes in the determination of dinocap

Abstract

A comparative study of the electrochemical behaviour of sepiolite and hectorite modified carbon paste electrodes in the determination of dinocap has been carried out. Dinocap was adsorbed on the electrodes in an open circuit (pH 4.0) and was determined by differential-pulse voltammetry at pH 5.3 in 0.5 M KNO3. The calibration graph obtained is linear for 2–14 ng ml–1 of dinocap using the sepiolite modified electrode and for 18–72 ng ml–1 of dinocap using the hectorite modified electrode.
