Determination of metals in sewage sludge by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry using a simplified nitric acid digestion method

Abstract

An inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometric method is described for the determination of metals in sewage sludge following nitric acid digestion of the samples in a PTFE bomb. The results are compared with those obtained using AAS after digestion of the samples with boiling nitric acid.
