Determination of the distribution of aluminium in zeolitic frameworks

Abstract

A general method based on a novel concept of a ‘pseudo-aluminosilicate molecule’ is developed to describe the distribution of aluminium in zeolitic frameworks. The method is successfully applied to zeolite omega (synthetic mazzite) and its relevance to 29Si magic-angle-spinning n.m.r. and X-ray structural studies is also examined.
