The first X-ray structure of an octahedral transition metal complex containing a strongly chelating bidentate perchlorate
Abstract
An X-ray structure determination of the complex formed by reaction of the chiral bidentate ligand L, (1), with nickel(II) perchlorate shows the presence in the asymmetric unit of two different stereoisomers of [NiL2(ClO4)]+, each of which contains a strongly chelating bidenatate bidenatate perchlorate.
