W(CO)5] rearranges into stable (η2-CH2![[double bond, length half m-dash]](https://www.rsc.org/images/entities/char_e006.gif) -PCl)W(CO)5 which can be characterized in solution by i.r., 1H n.m.r., and 31P n.m.r. spectroscopy and reacts readily with alcohols and conjugated dienes as a σ-P-co-ordinated species.
