Quantitative determination of solvent red 24 in hydrocarbon oils by derivative spectroscopy

Abstract

Second-derivative spectroscopy was used for the determination of Solvent Red 24 in treated hydrocarbon oils. The recovery was close to 100%, and the difference between the results and those obtained by the standard additions method was less than 2%.
