Synthesis and structure of mixed palladium–manganese complexes with the Ph2PCH2PPh2 ligand

Abstract

Heteronuclear Palladium–manganese complexes can be prepared from reactions between [PdCl(dppm)]2(dppm = Ph2PCH2PPh2) and NaMn(CO)5 or between trans-Pd[Mn(CO)5]2(PhCN)2 and dppm; the complexes PdMnCl(CO)3(dppm)2and Pd2Mn2(CO)9(dppm)2 have been obtained and the structure of the latter has been established by X-ray diffraction.
