Reaction cross-sections for atom-recombination processes

Abstract

Laplace transform techniques have been used to derive expressions for the reaction cross-sections of three possible mechanisms for the atom recombination process. The equations obtained are used as the basis of a semi-quantitative discussion on some general features of atom recombination.
