Electrochemistry of six-co-ordinate CrIII porphyrins

Abstract

Electrochemical evidence is presented that two discrete paths of electron transfer are possible for reduction of TPPCrCl(L) where L is a substituted pyridine and TPP = tetraphenylporphryin, and that one of these involves the previously unobserved complex [TPPCr(L)2]+.
