Partial oxidation of propene over U.V.-irradiated vanadium oxide supported on silica

Abstract

Photocatalytically inactive V2O5 became highly active for the oxidation of propene when supported on SiO2, and aldehydes were selectively formed even when the levels of conversion of propene were high.
