The first derivative, 1-bromo-2-ethoxycyclopent[d]azepine, of the as yet unknown cyclopent[d]-azepine can be synthesized by dehydrogenation of 4,5,7,8-tetrahydro-2-ethoxycyclopent[d]azepine.
