Di-µ-(cyclopentadienyl)-bis(tri-isopropylphosphine)dipalladium(I)

Abstract

Di-µ-(cyclopentadienyl)-bis(tri-isopropylphosphine)dipalladium(I) was prepared by the reaction of [(C5H5)Pd(MeCO2)(PPri3)] with NaK2·8; its sandwich-type structure is proved by reactions with Me3SiCl, PhSH, or PhCO2H which give [(µ-C5H5)(µ-X)Pd2(PPri3)2](X = Cl, PhS, or PhCO2).
