Clausmarins A and B: two novel spasmolytic terpenoid coumarins from Clausena pentaphylla(Roxb.) DC

Abstract

The structures of two new isomeric terpenoid coumarins from C. pentaphylla have been shown to be 9-(1,1-dimethylallyl)-2-(1-hydroxyl-1-methylethyl)-4a-methyl-2,3,4,4a, 12,12a-hexahydrodipyrano[3,2-b][3′,2′-g][1]benzopyran-8-one (1) and its isomer (5), respectively on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic evidence.
