Solvent correction for hittorf and direct and indirect moving boundary transference measurements

Abstract

The Longsworth equation for the solvent correction has been confirmed for a general electrolyte solute and the interaction between the solvent and volume corrections specified. For the indirect moving boundary method the literature equation for the solvent correction has been disproved and a new equation derived.
