Single-crystal and solution near-ultraviolet–visible spectra of sodium tetrachloroaurate

Abstract

Temperature-dependent and polarised electronic spectra of a single crystal of sodium tetrachloroaurate dihydrate are reported and the 1A1g1A2g(dxydx2y2), 1A1g1B2g(dxys), and 1A1g1Eg(dxydxzdyz) transitions assigned.
