Detection of a transient after flash photolysis of the aromatic molecules C6X6(X = H, D, F) and C5Y5N (Y = H, F) in the gas phase

Abstract

Flash photolysis of the aromatic molecules C6H6, C6D6, C6F6, C5H5N, and C5F5N, in the gas phase, yields a transient which decays completely back to the original species after a few seconds; values of the rate constants for this decay are given.
