Oxidation of electron rich olefins with sulphur dioxide

Abstract

In the reaction of sulphur dioxide with electron-rich olefins, the olefin cation radicals were observed; in some cases oxidized products in which oxygen from sulphur dioxide had been incorporated were obtained.
