Molecular structure of [bis-(2-pyridyl)disulphide]copper(I) perchlorate showing the N3S co-ordination of copper(I)

Abstract

In its bis-(2-pyridyl)disulphide complex, CuI has N3S co-ordination, similar to that expected for CuI-disulphide complexes in oxidases such as caeruloplasmin, rather than N2S2 or N4 co-ordination.
