Microwave spectrum of a gas-phase charge-transfer complex

Abstract

The microwave spectrum of a charge-transfer complex formed between two molecules having closed electron shells [(Me3N ⋯ ICF3) has been observed for the first time and a bond length [r(N ⋯ I)= 2·93 Å] reported.
