The photo-oxide of 1,3-diphenylisobenzofuran

Abstract

The photo-oxide of 1,3-diphenylisobenzofuran, obtained by dye-sensitised photo-oxidation in ether, has several isomers including an arene oxide and an oxepin, formed in a new peroxide rearrangement.
