Magnetic double resonance studies of some methyltin alkane- and benzene-thiolates

Abstract

¹ H, ¹³C, and ¹¹⁹Sn n.m.r. parameters for the series of methyltin alkane- and benzene-thiolates Me_{4 –n}Sn(SR)_n, where n= 1–4, and R = Me, Et, Prⁱ, Bu^t, and Ph, are reported and discussed in terms of the electronic structures of the molecules, with particular reference to the factors affecting the ¹¹⁹Sn chemical shift.
