A new mode of antiferromagnetic interactions: tris(pyrrolidyldithiocarbamato)iron(III)

Abstract

Spin delocalisation to a dithiocarbamate ligand, and consequent antiferromagnetic interaction, occurs in the d5(t32ge2g) complex but not in the isomorphous d3(t32g) complex; when these interactions are removed by dilution, a sextet–quartet equilibrium is apparent in the d5 complex.
