Photocyclisation of 1,3,6-triphenylhexa-1,3,5-triene
Abstract
Irradiation of 1,3,6-triphenylhexa-1,3,5-triene in the presence of iodine unexpectedly affords 1,2,4-triphenylbenzene; 3-methyl-1,6-diphenylhexa-1,3,5-triene, in contrast, gives chrysene.
