Biosynthesis of plant proanthocyanidins

Abstract

Studies of the biosynthesis of (–)-epicatechin and related plant proanthocyanidins have been made in Aesculus carnea and Rubus sp., these are interpreted in terms of a new scheme of biogenesis.
