Decomposition of a prop-2-ynyl-substituted nitroxide radical: X-ray crystal structure of the product

Abstract

Thermal decomposition of N-(1,1-dimethylprop-2-ynyl)-N-t-butylaminoxyl (2) gives 9-isopropylidene-3,3-dimethyl-5,8-di-t-butyl-5,8-diaza-4,7-dioxabicyclo [4,2,1]-nonan-2-one (3) as the major product whose molecular structure was determined by X-ray crystallography.
