Thermal decomposition of some platinum complexes containing tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluorobut-2-yne

Abstract

The enthalpies and activation energies of dissociation of the ligand, L, from the complexes PtXCH3A2L (where X = Cl or Br; A = AsMe3 or AsMe2Ph; and L = tetrafluoroethylene or hexafluorobut-2-yne are reported. A value for the bond energy, E(Pt–C4F6) is calculated.
