Complex mercury(II) cations and their 1H nuclear magnetic resonance and vibrational spectra

Abstract

The cations, [HgXPMe3]+(X = Cl, Br, I CN, or Me), [HgXAsMe3]+(X = Cl or Me), [Hg(PMe3)2]2+, [Hg-(AsMe3)2]2+, and [HgMeSMe2]+, and [HgMepy]+ have been characterised as their nitrate or fluoroborate salts. Their 1H n.m.r. i.r. and Raman spectra are reported and discussed.
