Rigid conformers of an isoquinoline–platinum(II) complex

Abstract

The unusual n.m.r. spectral behaviour of dichloro(ethylene)isoquinolinylplatinum(II) suggests that the isoquinoline fragment exists in two different and mutually prependicular rigid conformations leading to separately isolable but interconvertible isomers.
