Internal metallation of tertiary and secondary carbon atoms

Abstract

The first example of a compound containing a tertiary carbon atom bonded to a transition metal has been prepared by platination of PBu2t(o-PriPh): some metallations of the secondary carbon atom of an ortho-ethylphenyl group, are also described.
