Complexes formed by titanium tetrachloride with 1,4,5-trimethyltetrazaboroline and some aromatic hydrocarbons

Abstract

Two series of complexes of titanium tetrachloride and 1,4,5-trimethyltetrazaboroline with aromatic hydrocarbons have been prepared. These have the general formulae 4TiCl4,2Me2N4BMe,L (L = benzene, p-xylene, and naphthalene) and 4TiCl4,2Me4N4BMe,2L (L = toluene and o-xylene). Condensed-phase heats of formation of the complexes, measured calorimetrically, are 265–283 kJ mol–1.
