A molecular beam–mass spectrometric study of binary pentafluorides

Abstract

A molecular beam–mass spectrometer has been constructed and used to show that VF5 and CrF5 have monomeric vapours and the NbF5, TaF5, IrF5, and SbF5 are associated in the vapour phase.
