Terpenoids. Part XVI. Chemical Conversion of Oridonin into Isodocarpin

Abstract

Oridonin (I), a kaurene-type diterpenoid of Isodon species, has been transformed into isodocarpin (IV), a B-seco-kaurene-type diterpenoid from the same plant sources. Dihydroenmein (XII) has also been converted into enmein (XXI).
