Thermochemistry of phosphoryl(V) chloride complexes of titanium tetrachloride
Abstract
The condensed-phase heats of formation of the 1:1 and 1:2 complexes of titanium tetrachloride with phosphoryl chloride have been determined by use of a reaction calorimeter as 73·5 and 87·0 kJ mol–1 respectively. Vapour pressure measurements on the complexes showed them to be completely dissociated in the gas phase.
