Absorption spectrum of the triplet state of duroquinone

Abstract

Further evidence is presented that the ∼490 nm transient spectrum found on flash photolysis or pulse radiolysis of duroquinone solutions is due to triplet-triplet absorption rather than an isomer. The extinction coefficient is estimated to be 9,800 M–1 cm–1 in benzene and 4,700 in cyclohexane.
